Technology is an essential part of our daily lives, but how can we recognise when digital habits become problematic?
The Erasmus+ DigRight project raises awareness of the risks associated with excessive technology use and supports teachers in promoting healthier digital behaviours among students.
Some warning signs to look out for:
- Difficulty controlling time spent on smartphones or social media.
- Sleep disturbances linked to excessive screen use.
- Reduced concentration and difficulties completing schoolwork.
- Withdrawal from offline activities and face-to-face interactions.
- Irritability or distress when unable to access digital devices.
These signs do not necessarily indicate addiction, but they may suggest that students need additional guidance and support.
Education and early awareness are key! Through the DigRight App and Educational Kit, teachers can help students reflect on their digital habits and develop more responsible technology use.
