Classroom board and laptop with a shield, symbolising digital well-being in school

How can teachers help students develop healthier digital habits while making learning more interactive and engaging? The Erasmus+ DigRight project offers practical educational resources designed to support this important mission.

Digital technologies are an essential part of students’ everyday lives. However, excessive screen time, social media overuse and unhealthy digital behaviours can create challenges for their learning and well-being. Schools have an important role in helping young people understand these risks and develop responsible digital habits.

Two Educational Resources for Teachers and Students

The DigRight project has developed two complementary educational resources:

The DigRight App

An interactive, gamified application that allows students to explore realistic digital situations, reflect on their choices and receive feedback. By engaging with everyday digital challenges, students can strengthen their digital competences and develop greater awareness of responsible technology use.

The DigRight Educational Kit

A practical collection of educational materials designed to help teachers address digital addiction and digital well-being in the classroom. The Kit includes theoretical information, lesson plans and methodological guidance, enabling educators to integrate these topics into their teaching activities.

How Can Teachers Use DigRight?

Teachers can introduce the DigRight resources through simple classroom activities:

  • Start a discussion: Ask students about their daily technology habits, screen time and experiences with social media.
  • Explore the DigRight App: Encourage students to interact with real-life digital scenarios and reflect on their decisions.
  • Use the Educational Kit: Select relevant lesson plans and activities to explore digital addiction, digital competences and responsible technology use.
  • Encourage reflection: Invite students to identify practical changes they can make to develop healthier digital habits.

These activities can help create opportunities for meaningful classroom discussions about digital well-being, online safety and responsible digital citizenship.
