About the Project
#PLASTIX – Youth in Action for Plastic-Free Communities is a 24-month Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership that aims to empower young people to become active contributors to the fight against plastic pollution. The project addresses one of today’s most pressing environmental challenges by encouraging sustainable behaviours, strengthening environmental awareness, and promoting active citizenship among young people.
#PLASTIX provides young people and youth workers with practical tools, knowledge, and opportunities to reduce plastic waste and inspire positive environmental change within their local communities.
Project Goals
The project aims to:
- Empower young people to develop sustainability competences and actively reduce plastic waste.
- Promote responsible environmental behaviours and long-term behavioural change.
- Strengthen the quality and recognition of youth work through innovative educational approaches.
- Equip youth workers with practical methodologies and digital resources for environmental education.
- Encourage transnational cooperation and the exchange of good practices among European organisations.
Results
During the project, the partnership will develop:
- A Youth Training & Behavioural Change Framework
- A multilingual Digital Hub
- A Plastic Behaviour Tracker Tool
- Youth-led educational videos
- Youth Action Labs implemented across partner countries
- A European Youth Ambassador Network
- Practical methodologies and open educational resources supporting behavioural change and sustainable youth engagement.
